/ work info
In a picture of a framed picture with broken glass we see Georg Kolbe’s statue Morgen (Morning) reinstalled in the 1986 recreation of the Barcelona Pavilion. In the original pavilion, the statue marked a transition from the classical to the modern. Here, hanging in the air and trapped in time, it marks the years that passed between the Pavilion’s original construction in 1929 and its reincarnation in 1986.
